Born and raised in Rome, I moved to Berlin in 2013 after living in Sydney, London, Frankfurt, and Freiburg. There are three things I am passionate about: languages, discovering new music (currently into folktronica), and photography.
Skilled in UX Research and storytelling, I have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Arts (MA) in Languages and Communication Studies and I hold a graduation certificate in UX/UI Design from Ironhack Berlin. After working at SoundCloud as a junior product designer, I am currently fine-tuning my design craft and UX Design strategy at MuseCase labs.

Ciao, I am Mara, an Italian Berlin-based product designer with research superpowers, dedicated to products that enrich people's lives.
My path to UX/UI may not have followed a conventional route. I have a Bachelor of Arts (BA) and a Master of Arts (MA) Communication Studies and Languages. My studies and experiences as language teacher, in content marketing, and business development in the Berlin start up scene, have provided me with a robust skillset essential for a UX/UI designer:
Communication skills: I can convey complex ideas clearly and concisely. This is crucial when collaborating with cross-functional teams, presenting design concept, and advocating user-centered solution, especially to non designers.
User-centered approach:I’ve developed a deep understanding of human behaviour, that allows me to empathize with users, anticipate their needs and design interfaces that prioritize usability and user satisfaction.
Critical analysis and problem solving: I’m trained to analyze information critically and approach challenges methodically. I enjoy conducting UX Research to identify pain points and formulate innovative solutions that enhance the overall UX.
I hold a graduation certificate in UX/UI Design from Ironhack Berlin. After working at SoundCloud as a product designer, I am currently fine-tuning my design craft and UX Design strategy at MuseCase labs.
There are three things I am passionate about: languages, discovering new music (currently into folktronica), and photography.I like to go out into the world and capture its beauty and weirdness. You can find me attending live music concerts, swimming, and chasing the latest street art in the city.

Driven by an interest in human behavior and psychology, in 2019 I embarked on a UX journey and graduated from Ironhack Berlin. After working for 2 years at SoundCloud as a product designer, I am currently fine-tuning my design craft and strategy at MuseCase labs.
Throughout my journey in both education and UX, I have successfully collaborated with cross-functional teams, taking the lead on projects and enhancing my attitude to teamwork. Thanks to my user-centered approach, I deeply empathize with users, anticipating needs and designing both usable and visually appealing interfaces. Drawing upon my problem-solving abilities, I thoroughly enjoy immersing myself in UX Research, identifying pain points, and crafting innovative solutions, to enhance the overall UX.
